In this modern day, one thing to bring back pleasant memories is the warmth of a fireplace. Gathering around an Old World or contemporary fireplace can be enhanced and the warmth and light spread with the right fireplace accessories and tools. The safety of an area where the fireplace is can greatly improve with the right tools. Keeping things nearby like extra wood and bellows will make easier to keep the warmth and glow going for all to enjoy. Screens, tools, and andirons take our memories back and bond our present time together with the glow of the fireplace.
The Andiron is both a functional item to project heat and to keep screens from falling forward if a log rolls out. As with the screens, they range in style and price. Thinking about the dcor of the room will be a style guide. Also, the screen itself will have an effect on what to choose. Animals like owls and bears will work with some screens. Ball and tower shaped andirons that tend to be brass, will work with more ornate screens. As with the screens, size, weight, and ease of movement will determine what to select. So this is also a fun part of selecting fireplace accessories and tools.
When selecting fireplace accessories and tools there are some interesting things to also look at. Holders for logs, metal grates that the logs go on, and bellows greatly help with enjoyment and safety. There are some other interesting accessories like kettle humidifiers and ways to add scents to the fire. Cleaning sets that have ash shovels and brooms make after fire cleaning easier. Don't forget to get a set that has the log poker to place, move, and stir logs and embers. So stir up some memories and start new ones with the fireplace and selecting fireplace accessories and tools.
